Unicorn and fairy-tale coloring pages

Magic that stays calm

Fairy-tale characters let children color things that don't exist, so every color choice is the right one. A unicorn can have a rainbow mane, a dragon can be pink, and nobody can say otherwise.

Every character in this topic is kind and calm. There are no battles, no monsters and nothing to be afraid of, so the pages work at bedtime as well as on a busy afternoon. Like all our pages, they have thick outlines, big areas and an almost empty background.

The unicorn on a cloud is marked Simple. Its mane and tail are split into a few big locks, which gives children more areas to fill. Pages marked Very simple keep to one character and very few details.

Ideas while you color

• Make a rainbow

Manes, tails and clouds are made of separate locks and puffs. Coloring each one differently is an easy way to make a rainbow.

• Tell the story

Ask where the unicorn is going or who lives on the cloud. A short made-up story keeps young children interested for longer.

• Add some sparkle

Glitter glue, stickers or a gold crayon on the stars turn a finished page into something to hang up or give away.

• Wind down before bed

Calm characters and big shapes make these pages a good quiet activity at the end of the day.
