Eggs, flowers and baby animals

Spring is full of new things to point at: chicks, bunnies, the first tulips in the garden. Easter adds eggs, and many children enjoy deciding what color each egg should be.

The bunny holds out a basket of three striped eggs, with a daisy at its feet. The chick holds a tulip and leans in to smell it. The big Easter egg has straight, zigzag and wavy stripes and a friendly face. The outlines are thick, and there is no grass texture, basket weave or tiny pattern to fill.

The chick with a tulip is marked Very simple, for children of 2 and 3. The bunny and the striped egg are marked Simple, with more parts to color for children of 4 and 5.

Ideas while you color

  • One stripe, one color

The big Easter egg is split into five wide stripes. Your child can pick a different color for each one or make the whole egg one color.

  • Hang them in the window

Cut out the finished egg or chick and tape it to a window. A few colored pages make a cheerful Easter decoration.

  • Go on a flower walk

Look for tulips and daisies outside, then color the flowers on the page to match the ones you found.

  • Count the eggs

There are three eggs in the bunny's basket. Count them together, then draw one or two more in the empty space.

Questions parents ask

Which Easter page is best for a 2-year-old?

The chick with a tulip. It is marked Very simple, with one round chick, one flower and big shapes.

Are the striped eggs hard for younger children?

The stripes split each egg into a few big areas. A younger child can fill the whole egg with one color and ignore the stripes, and that's fine too.

Can we use these pages after Easter?

Yes. The chick and its tulip suit any spring day. The bunny with its basket and the big striped egg are more about Easter.

Can I print copies for a family Easter or a playgroup?

Yes. Print as many as you need. Every page is free, and no account is needed.
